The activity envisaged the organization of a Bulgarian-Turkish scientific-practical forum for capacity building of 30 representatives of local authorities from the cross-border region. The event was held in Burgas. The aim of the forum is to raise awareness of the latest scientific research on the opportunities for the development of sustainable healing tourism in the region. The forum was held with the participation of representatives residing within the municipalities of Burgas, Bulgaria and Edirne, Kırklareli, Turkey.
Experts in the fields of water, climate, ecology, medicine and tourism technology, graduated from the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Burgas and Trakya University in Edirne, presented the participants with the latest research in the region and the potential tourism development opportunities using natural resources. 5 people were present in Burgas for the first team meeting of the project within the scope of the forum. Ideas and experiences were shared, the organization of the next project activities was discussed.
